An electrical quote is mostly information you don't have yet: what's the actual job, is the switchboard up to current standards, are there safety issues that need a Level 2 sparky, and is the customer comfortable hearing 'this'll need a permit'? A standard contact form can't ask any of that. This template walks the customer through service type, property type, urgency, and access — capturing the brief in the same shape your office manager would build it during a phone call.
Electrical work spans an enormous range — replacing a power point is forty minutes of work, rewiring a 1960s weatherboard is a fortnight. A static 'request a quote' form treats both jobs identically and gives you no way to triage them without a phone call.
Safety matters too. A customer reporting 'smoke from the outlet' should never sit in your inbox overnight. The chat asks about smell, sparks, and circuit-breaker behavior up front, so genuine hazards skip the queue.
A switchboard upgrade gets asked about main switch amperage and meter board access. A new circuit gets asked about cable run length. The flow branches by service so each lead arrives with the right brief.
When the customer mentions service mains, metering, or supply authority work, the lead is tagged Level 2 so it routes to the right qualified electrician — not the first available van.
Single storey vs double, ceiling space access, switchboard location — the things that determine whether a quote is accurate or a guess. Captured before you walk on site.
Domestic and commercial electricians, Level 2 ASPs, solar installers, EV charger installers, switchboard upgrade specialists, and electrical contractors handling renovations. Equally suited to one-electrician sole traders and multi-van companies.
Set Level 2 keywords (service mains, metering, supply authority) and the chat tags those leads automatically. Routing rules can send tagged leads only to qualified Level 2 electricians on your team.
Yes — leads can be pushed to simPRO, AroFlo, ServiceM8, Tradify, ServiceTitan, or any system that accepts a webhook. Field mapping is configurable.
The chat can ask about urgency in message one and route true emergencies (sparks, smoke, full power loss) to your on-call phone with an SMS. Routine work waits until office hours.
